So yeah, it's kind of based on this idea for the video. So we kind of loosely based it off of that and we kind of adjusted it more to what would we be doing, you know? Everyday we have to check into a hotel on tour and so we kind of based it off of like, 'What if we checked into this hotel and it was just this haunted hotel with this old man who tried to send us through his bag of tricks in his house and capture us.' And it's like he would be doing this for years and all of these bands had disappeared, you know? In this house and we're trying to help each other out of it. Vic Fuentes told Alternative Press, "In that movie there - it's sort of like a slapstick horror movie about trying to escape an old house from an old man that runs the house. The visual is loosely based on the 1991 Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase film Nothing But Trouble. It finds the band stopping at a rundown old hotel, where they encounter a rather odd innkeeper played by former MTV VJ and current radio host Matt Pinfield. They both have so much talent and beauty in their voices, it's the whole reason. Kellin and Vic's voices together made me fall in love with all of it even more than the last time I had listened to it. "Texas Is Forever" yields similar fruit, as does the soaring "Circles," the latter of which, along with the downright confectionary "Floral & Fading," provide the impressive Misadventures with its two strongest pop-punk moments. The song's music video was directed by Drew Russ who previously helmed the band's 2012 " King for a Day" clip. This song is the reason why I fell in love with Pierce The Veil, it's utter perfection. It can also be used double-time at 164 BPM. When that moment comes about a minute-and-a-half in, it's both a relief and a terror a thin stream of gasoline approaching a lit cigarette. Wonderless is a very sad song by Pierce The Veil with a tempo of 82 BPM. The aptly named opener "Dive In" arrives via the screech of feedback and a knotty, cinematic melody that teases release. Formed in 2007, the group was founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the disbandment of the group Before Today (formerly Early Times), which was formed out of the San Diego punk rock scene. They stay true to the genre's penchant for loud/quiet/loud posturing, on-the-nose emotional cues, and strategically placed breakdowns throughout, but they do so while flexing some significant creative muscle. Pierce the Veil is an American post-hardcore band from San Diego, California. Truth is, there isn't a weak link to be found here, as the band seem to have summoned a particularly rallying muse this time around. The fourth studio long-player from the San Diego-based post-hardcore unit, Misadventures is as ambitious, hook-laden, and spilling over with unrepentant melodrama as anything Pierce the Veil has accomplished to date.
